I'll dominate 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua said he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "defeat" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I'm going to genuinely try to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian declined a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's largest money-making draws, regularly earning massive financial rewards.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually going ahead.
